I have never had any doubt that Bajwa was the central moving force behind the conspiracy to bring down IK.
I have written as much more than once.
And now very few are left who doubt this obvious truth.
If we grant that this came about because of an error of judgement on Bajwa’s part, then one is forced to ask why is he not taking the only option open to him which can minimize the ill effects of his monumental blunder on Pakistan i.e why is he not putting the army’s full weight behind arranging for immediate elections in the country and ensuring that these will be entirely clean?
So then why is Bajwa resolutely avoiding the only option which could perhaps salvage at least some parts of the ship that he and his senior generals have helped sink?
Why does DGISPR have to repeatedly say that since the army had nothing to do with politics, it could not bring about early elections, when it is known to all and sundry that only a month back it had orchestrated the bundling out of a sitting legal government?
Just think why Bajwa is not taking the only option which can salvage Pakistan from bloodshed and burning which is lying just around the corner and which, all of us lesser beings can so clearly see coming?
If you think deep on this issue, you will be forced to conclude that Ejaz Amjad has maneuvered this whole game for a very large sum of money, just as he had earlier arranged for Nawaz Sharif’s flight from Pakistan.
Your eventual conclusion must be that they have been paid off and that the Sharifs have proof of this payment.
If this were not the case, there would have been at least some room for mercy for Pakistan. Nothing else can explain why Bajwa is steadfastly refusing to take the only way out of the mess he has created for Pakistan.
This time, ladies and gentlemen, we have actually been ” SOLD”.
This may take some doing, but get this through your heads, in case you want to know what has really hit you.
It is said that the only honest politician was the one who, once bought, stayed bought. This may now be said of Generals with equal certainty as well.
Heroism has alas fallen on a dung heap.
